Mission

To provide an inclusive learning environment of curiosity and critical inquiry that deepens knowledge and devotion to prevent and treat cardiopulmonary disease with compassion for all.

To be the premier leader of respiratory therapy education that promotes better health for all through partnership, brilliance, and innovation. 

Program Goals

The goals of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy program are to prepare graduates to:  

  • Demonstrate competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT).   
  • To prepare leaders for the field of respiratory care by including curricular content with objectives related to the acquisition of skills in one or more of the following: management, education, research and advanced clinical practice (which may include an area of clinical specialization).
